“Move out of the illusion” was my first Mandala I created. I was attending classes with my teacher Karen Scott; I really wasn’t enjoying the process. I remember I was having trouble breathing when I looked at it and all I wanted to do was destroy it. I attended my next class and Karen asked me how I was going, I told her how much I hated the piece and I wanted to start again, I explained to her that I was having trouble breathing and I felt trapped.
Karen working with Mandalas all her life understood what was happening to me. You see, a Mandala is a universe with a circle, and she could see I was trapped within my universe, I couldn’t see a way out. In her wisdom she had me pick up my paint brush and she said take the brush stroke outside the circle. So, I did this and wow, I took a gasp of air and I felt so free, it was at that moment I understood the healing powers within a Mandala and the connection I had with the process.
This was my rebirth, my awakening to something inside of me that was waiting to be expressed. We often feel we are within a space that has us living with the constraints of what is right, what is expected of us. This piece showed me that I could and needed to move out of that illusion and step into that space that is free, allowing, creative and fun.
As you awaken the rebirthing process is much like the creation of a rainbow. The white light begins to fragment us into many parts. Some we love, some we hate, yet when we look at a rainbow, we stop to look at its beautiful colors, we are in awe of what we see. You are the rainbow, don’t be fooled by the illusion.
You are so much more than what you see, perceive, and feel. Let go of the belief system that keeps you within a false prison. BE the flow, undo the doing, be the poet, create your incredible life.
When I was channelling the message about this Mandala, I was asked to look up how a rainbow is created. Look how beautiful this message is!
(Rainbows are among nature’s most beautiful displays. Neither it is a “thing,” nor does it exist in a particular “place.” A rainbow is rather an optical illusion or phenomenon that is not controlled by human beings. To create a rainbow, raindrops must be suspended in the air and act as prisms, they split the white sunlight on them into seven constituent colors.)
How magnificent are you, your perfection, your light, your prism of colours, the reference to your power centres “Chakras”.
